Take2 AI raises $3M in Seed to simulate sales recruiting jobs with AI

The company recreates role-specific scenarios that help immerse sales applicants into the potential position, vet their cultural fit within a company, and offer performance data to employers.

Take2 AI, an AI-powered job simulation platform for sales recruiting, has announced it has raised $3 million in Seed. The round was led by Reach Capital and SemperVirens, with participation from other Silicon Valley-based venture funds, Techstars, and HR leaders from Visa, Disney, HP, and Google.
Sales roles in the United States make up approximately 14% of all jobs nationwide, resulting in employers spending countless hours reviewing applications and often struggling to effectively identify high-quality candidates. Take2 tackles this issue by recreating company and role-specific scenarios that help immerse the applicant into the potential role, vet their cultural fit within the company, and offer performance data to employers.

“There has been so much buzz around skills-based hiring in recent years, yet most employers still heavily rely on resumes,” said Yaniv Shimoni, co-founder at Take2 AI. “In high-volume sales roles particularly, resumes are not helpful at predicting fit, leading to extremely high short-term attrition.”
According to one unnamed customer, Take2 helped the 90-day attrition of its sales representatives fall from 58% to 15% within four months of adopting the platform within the company. This helped it not only fit quotas faster but also reduce its time-to-hire by eliminating two rounds of interviews from its recruiting process.
“We are very bullish on skill-based hiring. Take2 AI brings a novel approach to recruiting that is scalable and timely given the advancements in Generative AI,” said Esteban Sosnik, General Partner at Reach Capital. Allison Baum Gates, General Partner at SemperVirens, added: “Take2 AI is improving hiring outcomes and creating new pathways for candidates that might be otherwise overlooked in the hiring process.”
Take2 AI was founded by Kaushik Narasimhan and Yaniv Shimoni, who met at Stanford Graduate School of Business and who each have expertise in building and scaling sales teams. The company was started based on insights from research on skills-based hiring they conducted at Stanford University. It is based in New York.
